Ludhiana

In 2019-2020 there was a Technical Cooperation between Ghent a city in Belgian and Sahnewal, Ludhiana, Punjab. During this project the Steering committee was formed in Ludhiana to take the Fair Trade towns initiative forward.

The project aimed to meet through a two-way peer-to-peer learning and technical assistance process between the city of Ghent as a front-runner on the sustainable consumption side and the city of Sahnewal and Ludhiana, Punjab, India on the sustainable production side, which are inextricably linked. This project was facilitated by Conserve India as an interface between the City of Ludhiana and the other international organizations.
